Anyone who is hesitating to go to Dubai Safari Park or not, you need to know a key point before making a decision:
Do you want to go there as a Zoo Park?
or are you interested in a safari with wild predators?
The second option is more expensive. Visitors are distinguished by the colour of their wristbands:
How to get to Safari park Dubai?
If you come on your own, the price at the ticket office is very affordable: the Zoo Park is cheaper, the predator safari is more expensive;
If you go on an organised tour, the price is higher, we paid 180 aed per person at the end of December 2024 (includes transfer + ticket to the safari with predators).
How to feed giraffe or lemurs?
You have to buy a feeding ticket with the chosen time at the entrance to the park in advance! During the day, giraffes and lemurs eat at certain times and, accordingly, tickets are sold for 11:00, 13:00, 15:00 (the time may change, please check with the ticket office).
memorable photos: Safari park staff will take photos for you on THEIR iPhones. And they will give you cards with cuarcodes, by which you can look at your photos and choose something to remember. Price: 100 aed for one printed photo + you will be able to download it electronically.
I wouldn’t hesitate to feed them either, but unfortunately I learnt about this service after returning from the park….
Are there queues at the Safari Park?
On holidays and weekends they can reach up to 40-60 minutes of waiting time. Not for every location, just the transfer to the first station and the entrance to the raptor safari! There is no pandemonium at the other stations/stops.
Map of Safari park Dubai:
I advise you to immediately take a photo of the actual map at the entrance to the park to make it easier to navigate.
Zoo Park: flamingos, monkeys, snakes, wild dogs, giraffes (no feeding), all sorts of horned animals, a contact zoo for the very young;
Here a couple of monkeys are real actresses! They wait for more people to gather and start performing acrobatic etudes in anticipation of applause! Very funny!
Separate mention of birds: there is a “live tent” with parrots – I was delighted with it! There are lots of different parrots and some of them themselves willingly sit on your arm or shoulder for photos and videos.
He wanted to peck me, but then we became friends!

What do visitors who have paid for a raptor safari see?
ZOOpark, meaning they have access to all the same things as the budget category of visitors;
- in a tinted armoured car you are driven around a closed area with predators (about 45 minutes). And there are lions, leopards, jaguars, crocodiles, big horned animals, giraffes. And they are all very close to the car, literally a metre’s distance.In the car there is a guide – he tells you everything (eng). The tour is very cool. There are about 15-20 people in the car, it’s a Mercedes-minivan.
Safari Park is an eco-friendly zoo in Dubai, which is known worldwide as Dubai Safari Park – it is a large-scale research and conservation complex. The main task of the safari park is not the comfort of visitors (although this is taken care of here as much as possible), but the preservation and study of animals. Regular courses on animal care are organised here.
The Zoological Park took almost 4.5 years to create, and ultramodern “smart” and ecological technologies were used in its construction. For example, a special innovative system was created here, which thermoregulates rocks, cools water tanks and creates fog. All cooling devices are powered by solar panels and have no impact on the energy system or the environment. The Dubai Municipality spent $272,000 (almost a billion dirhams) to realise its ambitious vision.
The safari park started operating in 2017, but from 2018 it was closed for renovation works. It was not until 2020 that the zoo was able to welcome visitors again. Now the park has a daily capacity of 10,000 guests and is one of the top 5 safari parks on the planet.

I consider this location worthy of a visit!
I myself would love to visit it again next time – only without a group and guide, but on my own, so that there are no time constraints.
P.S. If you don’t like ZOOparks and you feel sorry for all the animals in captivity, then we are kindred spirits. For example, I can’t go to Moscow ZOOpark at all… as soon as I remember the local exhausted giraffe in lice, which I once saw, tears come to my eyes. However, in Dubai Safari Park there is no such “pinching pain” for the fate of animals. The area is completely different and the conditions are clearly better. Only positive emotions!
