Top Tips for Visiting Dubai Safari Park with Kids

Pros: Suitable for children. Lots of animals, all in excellent condition – well cared for, well fed, lazy. You don’t need to take a tour, you can go on your own. Well maintained, large grounds!

Cons: towards evening, the number of visitors increases! Ice cream turned out to cost 50 dirhams! You don’t feel like walking around the zoo in the heat, and in the evening after queuing, you’re unlikely to have any energy left!

Good day, dear readers of this review!

Pros

Suitable for children. Lots of animals, all in excellent condition – well-groomed, well-fed, lazy. You can skip the tour and go on your own. Well-maintained, large area!

Cons

Towards evening, the number of visitors increases! Ice cream turned out to cost 50 dirhams! You won’t feel like walking around the zoo in the heat, and by the evening, after queuing, you’ll hardly have any energy left!

Overall impression

It’s worth coming in the morning between 9 and 11 a.m. when there are significantly fewer visitors! It’s better to choose the Safari journey excursion package, otherwise it will be boring and uninteresting! The 35-minute drive through the animal habitats is really interesting! A shuttle bus takes you to the tour bus stop, and you can get off at several other stops to admire the animals and then get back on the next bus! The hippopotamus pool is quite modest and does not make a big impression! The giraffe feeding ‘show’ takes place on a schedule and consistently attracts a queue of people wanting to touch the saliva from their long necks. An excellent modern zoo! Be sure to visit the Grand Aviary in African Village – an unforgettable experience. At Kid’s Farm in the Aviary, you can feed the parrots seeds, and they will sit on your hands – great photo opportunities. It is advisable to get a ticket with the ‘Safari Journey (35-minute guided bus tour)’ – without it, the safari experience will not be as complete. I liked the bird enclosure. Take some cucumbers and seeds and you’ll have the opportunity to take a photo with a colourful parrot on your hand or shoulder.

Tickets: adults – $30, children – $20. Don’t buy them through a guide!!! We got them at the ticket office for $20 less.

I definitely recommend visiting, especially if you are travelling with children. Lots of positive impressions and emotions.
