My child and I decided to see all the animals of Africa at Dubai Safari Park in the United Arab Emirates. In January (we were vacationing in the UAE that month), there was no sweltering heat, and the weather was perfect for long walks.
We took the metro to the last stop and then a taxi. This was cheaper and more convenient for us.
The park is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The price of our tickets was 85 AED for adults and 30 AED for children.
The price included a tour of the area where wild animals roam freely. There are cheaper tickets available without the jeep and bus safari.
The park has three themed areas: Asian, Arabian and African villages.
You can walk to the park, but it’s better to take a car and save your energy for walking around the villages. The park is very beautiful, well-maintained and clean. There is a lot of greenery for a desert.
Children can feed goats and donkeys. We spent a long time feeding funny parrots. We didn’t want to leave.
The safari park in the UAE is definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend exploring the animal world of Africa and Asia for parents with children, for those who love nature, and for shopaholics who are tired of shopping centres. Keep in mind the season for walking around the vast territory. Winter is the perfect time to visit theme parks.
This is not my first time vacationing in the Emirates, and once you’ve visited the well-known attractions, you want something new and interesting. So I chose the safari park.
Dubai Safari Park is an amazing place that impresses with its scale and variety of animals. My visit left me with only positive impressions. How to get there?
I booked a tour from Sharjah at my hotel, which included transportation and four hours at the park. If you go on your own, you can take a taxi from Dubai, and local buses also run here frequently (I saw several stop at the bus stop).
Tickets can be purchased online or on site. The park is huge and allows you to see a huge number of animals from all over the world. From the African savannah to the Asian jungle, the exhibits are well thought out and realistic.
Some animals can be seen from a considerable distance, which creates the effect of being in their natural habitat. You can move between areas using different modes of transport. These include air-conditioned buses and a steam train with a warm breeze.
The animals are kept in comfortable conditions.
It is clear that attention is paid to the welfare of the animals. The safari takes place in an armoured bus. You can see the animals very close up and they do not react much to visitors. The park is clean and well organised. Navigation is easy, and the signs are clear. Tickets are not cheap, especially if you plan to visit all areas.
Dubai Safari Park is an excellent world-class zoo. Despite the high cost, it is worth a visit, especially if you love animals and want to see them in a relatively natural environment. I recommend planning a full day visit to see everything and enjoy the atmosphere.
In summer, the heat can be exhausting, so plan your visit for the morning or evening. Don’t forget a hat, sunscreen and water. It is worth noting that visitors are well looked after here. There are many places where cooling areas have been created for particularly hot weather.
After visiting the park, visit the souvenir shop. The prices are a little high, but if you just need a souvenir of this place, you are sure to find something here.
